Georgina Kelly Napaltjarri is the daughter of Dulcie Kelly Nangala. She is married to Abraham Philips, grandson of Long Jack Philipus.
Georgina grew up in Alice Springs, but regularly spends time at Mt Liebig, to the west of Alice Springs. The stories Georgina paints have been handed down to her by her mother Dulcie and grandmother, Lily Kelly Napangardi. Georgina’s style is closely reminiscent of her grandmother’s work.
Her paintings depict the Sandhill’s, known as Tali, in her home country. Her use of several sticks for dotting allow her to create precise lines of dots across the canvas to recreate the effect of the ever changing Sandhills.
